Noriko Handroll Bar
Top saved spot this month

Typical Chicago basement finds: wood paneling, pool tables, and exercise bikes that are used for dibs in the winter. Tasty raw fish and edamame hummus with chili crisp? Only at Noriko in West Loop. This subterranean Japanese handroll spot lives under Perilla Fare, complete with a glowing bar surrounded by mirrors and an electronic playlist that could fuel a Zara shopping spree. Though they’re booked out for weeks, it’s worth calling to try and grab a last-minute reservation for their nori-wrapped fatty tuna, baked scallop, or wagyu topped with uni that’s a fantastic surf and turf butter bomb. Noriko only has 20 seats, but they're perfect for a date night with a side of toro.
